This month our office attended our bi-annual American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Health Care Provider
CPR class. For many years we have preferred a private in-office class instructed by professional Firefighter Paramedics due to their insight from years of teaching and hands-on, real life experiences. Also, working with each of our office team members better trains us for the role each of us play should the need to use our life saving skills arises.
Also, our office is equipped with an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) although it's not a requirement for dental offices at this time.
The class updates our skills in Adult, Child, and Infant CPR focusing on two person CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation), choking, the use of BVM's (bag-valve-mask resuscitation), and AED's.
