Enjoy discreet orthodontic correction with invisible aligners in San Francisco

Dr. Leo Arellano helps image-conscious adults in San Francisco straighten their smiles with high tech invisible aligners. Invisalign provides orthodontic correction without the obvious brackets and wires inherent with traditional metal braces. The flexibility, convenience, and aesthetics of the treatment fit in seamlessly with the personal, social, and professional lifestyles of today’s busy adults.
Simple
Dr. Arellano takes pictures, x-rays, and impressions and sends them to Invisalign, where a 3-D image of the teeth is created. The doctor designs a step-by-step plan based on the digital model, determining the precise movements of the teeth and the length of the treatment. The Invisalign laboratory creates a series of aligners based on the doctor’s specifications and sends the aligners to our office.
Discreet
The aligners are made of a virtually invisible BPA free thermoplastic material. Patients have no reason to feel self-conscious, because most people don’t even notice they are wearing the trays. The most obvious aspect of Invisalign treatment is the patient’s beautifully straight smile when the process is complete.
Easy
The patient wears the aligner tray for two weeks and then exchanges it for the next tray in the numbered series. The trays are removed when eating, which allows patients to enjoy all of their favorite foods. The removable trays make oral hygiene easy because there are no brackets and wires to try to clean around. The trays can be cleaned by brushing gently in cool water before placing them back over the teeth. If they need a deeper cleaning, they can be soaked for about 20 minutes in a 50/50 mixture of peroxide and cool water or white vinegar and cool water. After soaking, brush and rinse gently. Cool or tepid water is necessary because hot water could warp the trays.
Timesaving
Invisalign treatment saves time in a number of ways. Oral hygiene is quick and easy. Dental visits are only needed about every six weeks, rather than every two to four weeks as is necessary with traditional orthodontic treatment. Dental visits are quick and easy because they are simply a progress check rather than the time it takes to tighten the wires of metal braces.
Healthy
A straighter smile is a healthier smile. Gaps between teeth, or crowded teeth, create areas that can harbor bacteria-laden plaque, which can lead to bad breath, decay, and gum disease. In addition, most patients are so happy with their beautiful, straight smiles that they tend to practice better oral hygiene and maintain regular dental appointments.
