Dental implants near me san francisco

If you are a patient looking for a dentist “near me” in San Francisco who offers tooth replacement solutions, look no further than Dr. Leo Arellano and his team. His practice provides a variety of options for tooth replacement, including the highly desired dental implant.

Dental implants explained

A dental implant is a restoration that is often used to replace a single tooth. This restoration is made of titanium, which is biocompatible with the body. It is also safe and effective in stimulating the process of osseointegration, in which the bone of the jaw fuses to the implant to hold it firmly in place. Once the post has been solidified into the bone, it can be restored in a variety of ways.

  • Placing a dental crown over the abutment of the dental implant can be done to replace a single tooth.
  • Placing a dental bridge over the implant allows it to act as an anchor for one or both sides of the restoration.
  • Placing a denture on the dental implant gives the denture the strength and stability to function optimally.

How much does a dental implant cost?

Several factors affect the cost of a dental implant. Dental implants require special planning to safely and appropriately place them into the jawbone. It requires extra care to avoid sinus cavities, or patients may need preparatory services such as bone grafts prior to placing their dental implants. The way in which the implant is restored is also a factor to consider, and needs to be included in the final cost. Discussing the type of implant you need placed, the preparation needed, and the restoration used with the implant all need to be taken into consideration when providing an accurate quote for treatment.

What can I expect after the placement of my dental implant?

Teeth replaced with dental implants function just like the natural teeth. They are strong, durable, and do not shift in the same way a full denture may with natural suction or dental adhesives. They are the gold standard in tooth replacement, because they are known for lasting a long time with proper care. While they may cost more than alternatives, their longevity makes them a wise investment for patients who want long-term solutions.

What our patients are saying...

I’ve been going to Dr. Arellano for about 20 years and I continue because of the excellent care and treatment I get with him and his whole office team. He is both professional and personable.
Recently I had a newer technique of gum surgery/grafting at his office called, “Pinhole Surgical Technique of gum grafting.” I personally found this to be much easier to handle than the other style of gum grafting that I received years ago for the other side of my mouth. That worked, it was where part of my roof of my mouth was cut and surgically sewn onto the gum. However, I much prefer the pinhole technique. It was actually the easiest dental work I’ve had (beyond regular cleaning) It didn’t take too long and it didn’t feel uncomfortable getting it done.... More Reviews
